Lower or Higher Volume Listening?

Depends on the music an my mood, but usually mid-mid+ range, rarely do I listen with the volume at 11

I never play it too loud, as it will cause fatigue and actually make it more difficult to hear the fine details imo. Finding just the right balance can be a bit difficult, especially since the recordings vary in sound level.

I listen to it very softly usually and find that in around five minutes it sounds louder then it initially did (my ears adapt to the sound, I don't turn the volume up).

yeah i feel the same..i think our ears tune into that sound and listen more attentively..i used to listen to my music at like -10, -5db..but now i listen to the same music at -30..and i feel its just as loud..if not clearer
