Slightly offtopic guys, but can anyone suggest some budgety 3.5mm powered speakers to use with my NWA50? Right now I use IEMs and a sonly bluetooth speaker(no aux, only BT), but Id like to get some bookshelves. Thanks for any info you may provide.

I have no AMP btw

I don’t know what your definition of budgety is, but I’ve been using these with my computer for 4-5 years and am very happy

I would recommend these:

https://www.jbl.com/studio-monitors...Black-US-Current&cgid=studio-monitors#start=1

Also have balanced input for down the road. The RCA input is the recessed kind so you need to be sure your cable will fit. However, it also has a 3.5mm stereo input in the front which is what I use. The BT connection is fine for music, but has lag for video.

Very nice, thanks. How do they sound via your NW50 with Walkman mod and decent source files? And you said they offer stereo with 3.5mm input?

Thanks, they look amazing, but a bit pricey for me. I'll keep them in mind.

I bought mine as B stock from Thomann in Germany with about 25% discount

Pretty neutral sounding with punchy bass. It's a small near field monitor set. Near Field just means optimal placement is close enough where you can reach the front controls. It will not really fill up a room though and bass doesn't have the energy to go beyond about 2 meters. I have used my WM1z and iFi iDSD Sig and both sound fine. It does have 3.5mm input but is located in the front of the right speaker. another cool feature is that it has headphone output too so you can leave your NW50 plugged in. Very versatile. The only thing that I wish it had is a way to disable the stupid start up sound every time I turn it on. It's pretty loud. But since it's class D amp, I just leave it on 24x7 so I don't have to deal with startup. There is also an auto standby mode if it doesn't detect sound input for 20 min, but you can disable that.

No problem! I completely forgot the coolest feature. the JBL monitors have 3.5mm, RCA, 2xTRS balanced, and BT input. You can connect a different source to every single input and choose to listen to one at time or all at once! The input selector switch in located in the front for easy access.

That sounds useful and versatile. I will keep those on my want list.
