It looks like the consensus is that the Blessing 2 Dusk is the benchmark in terms of sound quality for a mid-range IEM, but it is quite large and some people report that it can get uncomfortable.

I have tried several IEM in the past (Massdrop EE Zeus, UE Triple Fi 10, Mangrid Tea, Buds Plus, Bowers P5), but they are uncomfortable to me.
The only IEM that I found comfortable is JVC HA-FX1100 which I currently use, but there is a lot left desired for a better sounding unit.

For sound quality, I have HD6XX and Focal Clear OG headphones that I like.
I also have tried HD800 w/ SDR mod and Aeon Closed X, but I did not like the sound at all.

So far I am looking at DUNU SA6 as a lot of people report it is extremely comfortable and smaller than the competition and the sound is great, but not the best.

Do you have any other mid-range IEM ($300-$550) suggestions that focus on comfort, but also has great sound?

I would have said Dunu SA6, I don't think there are safer choices in that price range, for SQ and comfort.

A little more expensive Shouer EJ07M, Moondrop S8, Softears RSV, but I don't know if they are really better than Dunu SA6.

Or estimate to spend € 700-750 and look for something like Sony IER-M9, MEST, Andromeda 2020 among the used.

My favorite in that price range is Oriolus Isabellae. I think it's comfortable, but I don't have fit problems with most IEMs.

I am not really looking to spend more than $550 unless it would be as comfortable as Dunu SA6 and have a noticeable upgrade in sound quality.

This sounds like a request for a falling asleep IEM recommendation?

SA6 for sure. It's the most comfy great IEM I've owned.

If comfort is your priority, IE300. And it's still on sale I believe. I owned both ie300/900, and they are extremely comfortable.

Not for sleeping.

I am considering the IE300, but from what I read so far the IE300 is nowhere near the sound quality of B2 Dusk.

I am wondering if the IE300 is even on par sound quality wise to 7Hz timeless / Kato.

I kinda feel like we’re at a tipping point. These Chinese manufacturers have learned how to tune and develop IEMs which was something they used to struggle with.

It’s going to be difficult for other manufacturers to keep up. I was on the IE300 thread and it wasn't kind, lots of failures and mixed reviews on the sound.

I did like the IE300 quite a bit until I got the IE900.

And I can't speak for the B2 dusk, but I did own Moondrop's S8 which I liked quite a bit. But that's in a different price bracket.

I currently do own the Kato as well, but I don't think IE300 is any less of a product, soundwise.

It's all a matter of personal preference. Guess you won't know until you try them. But most people can atleast agree with the comfort of IE300s.
