Looking for comfortable closed over ear around $300-$500

I own the DT770 pro 250 ohm. They provide amazing quality bass that's tight, punchy, and crunchy mids and smooth highs. There are either two things people talk about with the DT770's. Some say there is too much bass, some say the highs are too prominent. I will say the highs are just that. But, I listen to highly technical metal and djent, so these are perfect. That tight and accurate bass makes kick drums sound even more demonic and I love it. Melodic metal allows highs such as chimes and piano to stand out and compliment the brutality. An amp lets these things fly. There is nothing that won't sound good on these headphones.

- With certain opamps you can get a warmer sound. OPA627AP do this
- AD744JNZ is cooler sounding, and also pushes the headphones towards ear-bleeding without even trying.

The dt770's are on sale, and they're a steal. I got them when they were 168 USD. Now, they're bouncing between 187 and 205 USD.

I really do not recommend the 80 ohm versions. This is head-fi, not #overpricedBEATSYOLO . org
