good if u sleep on ur back, if u sleep on ur side u will wake up with lobotomy

It's still better than wearing headphones to bed and being accused of suicide when you strangle yourself with the cord and nobody is around to blame :P

I think you may find that you become more and more willing to spend up, as time goes by. Welcome to the Vortex! All the best buddy.

My tip is to visit a sound store that lets you try (pretty hard at the moment!) And spend the money on something that really meets your need - cause you're probably going to do that later anyway!

So true! It‘s funny how hobbies can be that way. One goes down the rabbit hole, and gets in too deep. One spends a fortune collecting fine items, only to realize that the obsession has become unhealthy, and caring for/maintaining the fine items also costs a fortune. Too much added unnecessary stress, so one seeks to simplify one’s life, and ends up finding great pleasure with the much less expensive items. Hidden gems are so satisfying to find.

I’m, of course, speaking from experience. As amazing as some of them were, it was such a relief to sell my luxury watches. Those complications were very, umm, complicated, and kept malfunctioning. Now, I truly enjoy my cheap Invicta. The money I ultimately wasted on luxury watches and camera equipment....I don’t even want to think what my IRA could‘ve been by now.

For sound the ER2XR. They're also extremely durable, and lightweight and thin enough to fit in jacket and pants pockets pretty easily.

Just a couple things to be aware of: the fit is not for everyone. They're deep insertion iems, so initially they can hurt and cause irritation until you get used to them. They're also difficult to insert initially compared to most iems.

Also, they block out a LOT of outside noise. This can be good if you don't want to hear your environment, but bad if you need to hear certain things for safety. Just be aware. But at the 100-125 usd price range these and the moondrop starfield are your pics sonically.

But in those situation i neither want to pull out some 1k IEMs

I don't about that, I think it's fine pulling out 1k IEMs in those situations because very rarely, someone will know what they are. I would be more concerned bringing Beats than 1k IEMs.

The nura stuff is mostly a marketing scheme from what I heard / read but I might be wrong :)

The full-sized Nuraphones provide really good sound for the price you pay (or membership, or whatever). You can set the bass ("immersion level") to ridiculous levels if you wish. The downside is that they are not very comfortable. They are ugly, too, but personally I would not care about that. I am wondering if anyone here in Head-fi has personal experience with the earbud version.
