As per the title I'm looking for a sub $600 amp that will pair well with these headphones.

Have a dedicated dac already so looking for an amp only at this stage.

Where are you located? In Europe, the Meier Corda Jazz is a good choice.

never tried the aeon, sorry

I guess the AFO is not going to be that sensitive to amplifiers. Any solid state amp with enough power is going to be fine. The LCD-2C is the same way, easy to drive.
