60 Dollars will get you the PA2V2 from Gary at electric-avenue.com
It will also synergize well with your MS-1s.

For home or portable use? For home the Marantz 1060 synergises well with both Grados and Sennheisers. For portable the PA2V2 is one of the only options for cheap portable amping other than cmoys, was too warm for my taste though.

Still the cheapest I've seen is the CoolerMaster Musketeer III. It uses a single 12AU7 tube and takes up a 5.25" bay on your computer. It runs off of your computer's power supply, which helps to keep the price down. You can pick them up around $50 shipped. Here's a link:

Zip Zoom Fly is reputable; I've ordered stuff from them a few times and have had good service.

This isn't the best amp out there. However, for a $50 tube amp, it's a screaming deal. The faceplate is aluminum, and it does look cool in your computer. I'm reasonably happy with mine.

Also, I haven't modded it yet, but I'd think you could get some improvements by tube rolling and upgrading the caps and resistors. Probably put in some RF shielding, too. But for $50, it's pretty darn good.

A good *budget* amp?

The Xenos 0HA-REP, www.aptecpro.com

It has just been released. The interior looks as good as if it cost twice - three times as much.
