Assuming this audio setup is for a PC computer, a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Z sound card (used $70) would make a decent DAC/amp, for use with the DT990.
I think your spending ($350) too much for driving headphones like the DT990.
Better off selling off the DT990 and putting most of your audio budget for better headphones.
I really like my Beyerdynamic T90 headphones.

There is no line out function on my iMac. Not interested in double amping through the headphone port. I’ll keep looking for a decent dac and amp for the 990. Thanks.

The Audio GD R2R-11 can be had around 385.00 after shipping...Its a warm sounding amp/DAC which works decent for the DT990...not as good as an OTL amp but your budget makes it tough.
