Am I alone having difficulty loafing FLAC files in Pure Music? I have any number of stalls and shut downs simply trying to listen to stored files. I wonder if another approach might be less of a pain in the nether regions.

I never had troubles with FLAC by themselves, but did have trouble when I mixed file types (FLAC, ALAC, AIFF). I also had to jump through hoops to get gapless playback to work on my system.

I finally gave up, switched to Audirvana+, and haven't looked back.

Thanks for the insight, Hi-Rez. Which version are you running (and did you try others before deciding)?

2.0.4 was pretty stable as long as I didn't mix file types. I gave up on version 3 after 3.0.3.

Sorry. I wasn't clear. I meant which version of Audirvana are you running, but on rereading your post I see its Plus. Thanks for the follow-up, regardless.
