It seems some time ago, a split occurred in the company that makes livewires resulting in two separate companies.  I was wondering if people can recommend either company over the other or give some insight into the difference between them.  Having put off buying them for 2-3 years I simply went back to the webpage they used to be at: http://www.livewiresforyou.com which forwards to Fidelity Custom Audio, however, I have since learnt that Earpeace still does business at: http://www.mylivewires.com

For my own part, I went with Fidelity Custom Audio and have been waiting almost 5 weeks for my duals, in spite of the 3 weeks reported in their FAQ.  I have read of people waiting as much as 6 months with Earpeace, however.  I'm not too disappointed as I was well aware of these delays before I ordered.  I just thought it was strange that neither my googling nor my head-fi searches explained what had happened.

The history between the two does seem to be fairly well hidden. There was some nasty split a few years back (can't be too long, I think the original was introduced in 07?), so they both still make the same dual driver IEM (which is said to be very good, especially for the money), but the triple driver phones can be iffy.

Hope you'll get what you ordered functioning and in good time. Welcome to customs mate.
