Hi folks,
I've been planning my next step into music and figured from my current set-up, the biggest increase in SQ would come from adding a DAC into the mix. Right now I own both Grado 225i and Senn 598 headphones. I use them with a hybrid tube amp, the HiFiMAN EF2A that I tube roll. Would a Little Dot DAC_II or DAC_I be a good fit in this set-up? The chain would look something like Macbook > DAC_II > EF2A > headphones. Would I need to buy additional cables for this, and if I put a DAC into the equation, would it automatically override the EF2A DAC or would that not matter?
In the very far away future I will upgrade to a Little Dot Tube Amp, ideally their MKVIII and HD-800s or LCD-2s. Would the DAC_I or II work in that system as well?
