Earbuds

Due to the fact that there does not seem to be any real way to label Earbuds (in ear, but not in ear canal) as just Earbuds.

Being they sometimes get listed as earphones as well.

So I wanted to make a "Master List" of all the Earbuds available to purchase, or that are well known that are still talked about on the forums.

I have started that list, but need all of your help to trim down unnecessary models and add earbuds that should be on the list.

*Here is what I have so far and will edit as needed:*

Thanks for putting this list together!

Here are a few earbuds to add to the list. I'll post more if I remember or stumble upon any others. Sorry for the formatting (or lack of).

I didn't include earhook, headband, or behind-the-head earbuds. Also, Sennheiser MX580 is listed twice. Actually, the MX*70/*71 series is discontinued so you may want to remove those depending on availability.

First off, thank you for the list of Earbuds you contributed.  They have been put on the first post list.

I wanted to put this list together so that other people like myself could find a quick list of earbuds available or ones that get talked about a lot that you might still find for sale here on the forums.

I also did not include any "earhook, headband, or behind-the-head earbuds".

If the "MX*70/*71" series is not too important around here, I would be happy to remove them.

You could add the Lyra 6, AT EC707 and Juicy J100, Sony phone sets(E0921, E0931 and maybe the STH30), and the Creative buds EP's and Aurvana air.

Not sure why not the ear clips models especially if they are different. Lyra 6 is a new driver and tuning and the EC707 is also not the same as the CM707(15.4mm vs 14.8mm drivers etc.). Senn OMX, I can see, since they are just MX's converted to clip style.

Thanks for the list.

I have nothing against the clips, I was just starting out listing all of "normal" earbuds.

I'll add those to the master list tomorrow. :)

No, that's cool if you just want straight buds. Still a few there to add.  The Sudio TVA(tempted to try 'em)
http://www.sudio.se/index.php/tva-orange.html

Though, the Sudio and Sony STH and Earpods are hybrids really. What is your ruling on that style ?

I think they're important (and reviewed / left impressions on a few of them), but I just wasn't sure if you wanted only currently available products. It's your call.

Well, the Piano Forte II is already up there, and I suggested the MX686G and the Philips ActionFit Sports buds, so I'm guessing they count. :xf_eek:

True. Thought he might miss that the 686G was a hybrid but indeed the Forte is there. So, then ATH - CHX5 and CHX7 shall qualify
