Great idea for sticky ! add some:

BIN = buy it now
NOS = new old stock
AKG = Akustische u. Kino-Geraete Gesellschaft

Must've got something to do with my lust to bin nos akg. =)

We obviously have general abbreviations like FYI, IMO, ROTFLMAO, etc. Many databases on the net already cover these, apart of the AcronymFinder.com as Gariver mentioned, I also use UrbanDictionary.com

However the Head-Fi's hi-fi special abbreviations such as KGSS, DAP, PPA, DBT, etc should be listed somewhere (or added to FAQ?). Go on Enzoferrari650, it's a good idea.

I came here looking for the meaning of OTL. It's very frustrating seeing all these initials without a place to look them up. The ones in general Internet use seem easy to find. But people use shortcuts here for technical audio that is not mainstream Internet. It would be great if the official "List" were divided into two sections.

OTL stands for Output Transformerless and is a kind of amplifier, I found. I believe a list would be so very helpful.
