find my head sensitive to weight of headphones.I had the hd555 and now use dt990 and find they both had weight that seemed to take away from enjoyment of using phones so i keep going back to my ksc75 which combine lightness and great sound. Is there a recommended phone that is very light yet full size.I realize it would probably be one that rested on the ear but that would be fine. thanks Matt

The non-metal Grado headphones are really light. That is, any model with the exception of the 325/MS2/PS-1.

the PX100's are very, VERY light. foldable and portable too, with a sound somewhat similar to your KSC-75's. you'll like them

I think the high end Sonys are pretty light. The SA5000 is very light, for sure.

I don't know if the 701 is that much lighter than a Beyer 990 though, is it?

You need the Senn PX-100: light, headband, extraordinary sound, incredible price.

I don't remember much about the 990...I think it's metal and fairly bulky. The 501, at least, feels completely feather-light in comparison to the HD 600 or 595.

I'd try the PX100's or the Senn HD-25-SP's. Just look around the headphone forums next time. There are so many threads about this same question.
