LG G7 ThinQ DTS-X

Recently, I'm using a Philips SHP9500 with LG G7 and noticed a significantly different sound between normal HiFi mode and Line Out / AUX Mode.
In Aux mode, bass is more punchy and vocal has more density.

Yesterday I found this measurement result off a G7. Seems to confirm my own experience.

The advice I can give is that, if you use larger, over the ear headphones, try the AUX mode and hear the difference by yourself.

So, i am curious about listening levels with the g7. I usually hear music at about 15 clicks with my ibasso it01 and 25 to 30 clicks with my ety er4xr. Is it to low, normal or loud? I dont want to damage my hearing. So, tell me your listening levels.

This phone is on sale through google's project fi for $349 plus tax. Which is a $20 a month zero contract service google offers. The original price was way to high, but under $400 seems pretty good.

That's a great price for a really good phone. The LG V35 is $499 which is also another great deal on LG phones. Of course, you have to sign up for Project Fi service.

Hi,

I just bought the LG G7 and I'm just learning about the settings. What settings do you prefer when it comes to the filters? The DTS X, is it better turned off when listening to music in headphones I guess?

I have turned all settings off. I have tried the different filters and the DTS X and it doesn't work for me or the headphones/iems i use. Generally it degenerate the sound, i think it's designed for cheap earbuds!

Overall i am very pleased with the phone though, better smartphone that i expected. Especially with the current low price. Buy any LG smartphone 4-6 months after release and you can get it for almost half price :)

with the g7, it always defaults to aac and not apt-x, when the headphones support both. Tried 4 headsets\earbuds that have both aac and apt-x, it always choose aac.

Anyone else have that isse, have to manually select apt-x in developer settings each time?

Go into BT settings, press the cog next to the headphones and then under Connection Type select best sound quality.

Anyone have experience with the V35? I can't find any good reviews regarding its audio quality...which I find odd considering it released only 1 month after the G7. I'm curious because the v35 is buy one get one free at ATT right now and I need 2 phones so this would be great if the phone is as good as a G7 at least. It is an ATT exclusive model so this has me a bit skeptical.

It's the G7 in the body of a V30, sans notch & Boombox speaker.

Hi Everyone.

Please help me.

My Dunu 75 ohm adapter doesn't work?

https://m.ebay.com/itm/DUNU-3-5mm-t....c100623.m-1&_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1&ul_noapp=true

Or Lg g7 thinq doesn't work on hi impedance mode?

When I connect Dunu adapter i see 50 ohm status, but is much more guiet than when I connect my aux adapter and see aux status.

I have Akg K812 headphones - 36 ohms.

I connect I think correctly - on aux mode works and is louder than normal.

I connect first Dunu impedance adapter then for a while my headphones jack and is much more quiet than aux.
On the same volume I think as normal, without any adapters.

All the best wishes,

Dominik.

The Dunu won't work by plugging it directly to the phone with your headphones attached. You need another short cable between the phone and adapter.
