Is there a comparable planar iem retailing for about the same price S12 was when it launched? I had mine since then and soundwise it's perfect but it hurts my ears so bad i end up listening to less music because of it.

Physically. and later, emotionally 'cuz i love how the device sounds but i can't listen to it for long...

I don't think so, the driver just seems too big for my ears now that i snapped a pic. I bought an Openheart cable in the past and swap it back and forth with my Blon BL-03, with no difference in confort. The heat shrink is present on both but only the S12 becomes unconfortable after 1~2 hours. pics related

Arias are okay--but S12 is in a different category.

Hmm, it looks like it is much further back, pressing against your anithelix. Maybe spinfits would help?

The S12/S12 Pro beat the Moondrop Aria 2021 in every department except timbre (I assume it is this you are talking about as there are a few Arias iterations from Moondrop).

Technicalities are a few leagues better on the S12 series, though it can be a tinge metallic in timbre and a bit bright for treble sensitive folk.

The Artti T10 doesn’t for much better. But it does sound great as well for half the price. Same driver ?

I'm interested in why Letshuoer decided to take such an incredible step back in the physical design on the S15. I know I can't see them if I wore them, but it's shocking how much worse the aesthetic design is.

Well, I don't know. I have to admit that I am a great admirer of the S15 sound signature but I don't like the looks!

Whoever designed their latest stuff has bad design aesthetics. Look at the DZ4?! Skin colored resin?!
