So, Wintersun – basically the Kanye West of heavy metal – are using their Chinese Democracy album (Time II) to crowdfund a STUDIO (the place bought, gear, etc.) for a minimum of 250k to 750k bucks in one month of time by giving a pack (the only perk of the campaign) of 50€ of DIGITAL material. All of which is already done, but will be distributed on the same day the physical release hits the shelf.

No clue how many times I listened through their first album. Second one had its moments, but was soured for me by Jari admitting that he isn't even interested in Metal anymore.
Lol that cracked me up, thanks. Had no idea they are such ******, well if the album lived up to the hype I would not have cared tbh, second album was just Meh.
My German senses are tingling. So is my wallet. Gonna pick this up tomorrow if I can find it at my local magazine shop. Anyone interested in pictures then?

Haha, my bad, didn't look thought you where in London for some reason? Anyway..........Looks like a promo to promote the live DVD. We are still waiting for some studio tracks. The album was suppose to be last year, still it may be worth the wait.
A couple of us in this thread have everything they have ever done.
Everything???? I didn't really mean everything. Yes, I heard those in MP3 form. They do show the magic which we would come to admire. What about the same old videos from the time. To me it's funny that they would also have videos from what was in essence a Black Metal Garage Band, but they did?
Sounds like they recorded directly off the mixing board. There's not a lot of crowd noise, but just a little bit leaks through at times. Plus, you can hear the very prominent kick drums that's very common for live shows. Hard to believe Dimmu has been going at this for 20+ years!
