What exactly are you addicted to? The caffeine? The disgusting artificial flavor? The pound of sugar that is in every bottle?

The feeling I get of being energized. Have you never been addicted to coffee, soda, or energy drinks? It's just like any other addiction. You can't stand not having that amazing feeling on a consistent basis.

Well, why don't you just drink coffee then? You know, like every other caffeine addict?
Not exactly healthy but still not nearly as bad for you as this gross sugar ****.

Coffee just makes me sleepy. That's how addicted I am to the extreme stuff. lol

But doesn't coffee have way more caffeine in it than Mountain Dew, Red Bull etc?

It has been discussed frequently in this thread. Arcturus is one of my favorite bands and I will always get their stuff. (Though right now, I am on hiatus from buying music to focus on buying audio gear.)
Wish you had time to hang out with us more often!

I remember you said the Audio-Technica ATH-AD2000 was your favorite headphone for metal. It is now out of production. What are the differences between it and its replacement, the AD2000X?

The new MSR7 is also pretty dang good for metal—Machine Head's Through The Ashes Of Empires sounds great on it, not so much Keep of Kalessin's Epistemology though, likely due to poor recording quality. See the AD2KX review in my profile for a comparison to the original AD2K.

Musically speaking, it's very much worth it. But the production quality is so bad, it infuriates me. It's not just low quality, it's muffled and straight up sound like a 128 kb/s album.

Well that's disappointing, guess I'll hold off on Arcturian for a while then and try to grab a used copy later.

lol. Research energy drinks. They have so much more stuff in them it's scary.

I tagged you in the headphones for metal thread. Did you not receive the notification? I read your comparisons and such in various threads. I actually found someone who has an AD2K and am in the process of buying it from him, once I have the extra cash.

Nope didn't get a notification. Anyway, I consider the AD2K essential for metal, especially thrash like Megadeth. Or any kind of metal that's heavy on the drums, for that matter.

OMG!!! I totally forgot about that band. I used to love their One Hour By The Concrete Lake album, but don't even remember what it sounds like now.

I listened to all of their albums back when I got into metal but nothing really "stuck" then. Recently I fell in love with Road Salt One, and since then I've been slowly going back through their discography and enjoying it a lot more this time around. Dan is such a unique singer!

They've since moved to a more bluesy acoustic rock sound. It's not bad and they're still worth seeing live, but (warning: cliché) doesn't compare to their earlier stuff. BE is still one of my all time favourite albums.

I'm finding that I prefer the newer sound, but I can totally understand why the majority of fans don't agree. It's not as original or complex, but they just do it really really well IMO.
