You never got into black metal?!

I listen to BM far more than other metal genres. It's more diverse than you think. Some black metal bands even hire orchestras!

^I RIP TO 28 kbps for xtra realism when it comes to my bm:evil:

I found driving fast increases the feeling of exhilaration while listening?

Everyone (EVERYONNNE!) should listen to Anorexia Nervosa, especially their later material. Symphonic black metal at its finest. (IMO)

Yes, I made the mistake of getting their 1997 album Exile. just the worst CD i own? later stuff is better.

heard the first 2 trax loud through speakers-sounds good and well recorded-excellent guitar tone

Went for a dog walk with it playing on the portable. I listened to the whole thing. The portable did not reproduce the dreamy guitar tone like my main system. Gosh the guitars are so good sounding?

In summary, if you want the best quality audio, get one of these:
1. iPod 5G (wolfson WM8758)
2. iPod 4G (wolfson WM8975)
3. iPod nano 1G (wolfson 8975), iPhone 1G, iPod touch 1G (wolfson WM8758), iPod classic 1G 2G 3G  (wolfson WM 8721),  iPod mini (wolfson  8731),  iPhone 4G,  iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G  (iPhone 3G  has a chip labelled WM6180C, probably a wolfson, so does the iPod touch 2G)

Bad: All newer ipods: Nano 2G-6G, iPod Shuffle, iPod mini 2G, iPod Classic 6G & 7G. They all have the cirrus chipset. Surprisingly the Shuffle is reportedly the best of this bunch. I can verify this – I have a shuffle model A1204 and it sounds much better than my iPod touch 2G, though not as good as a nano.

I just tossed my first generation nano away. It finally died. I did love the SQ. My daily portable is just a 5th generation Touch and Piston 3s.

It is funny how SQ varies with Apple. Though I don't think the public at large really care. I use the Touch for stuff all day. I take pictures with it. Tell time with it. Surf the net, read emails, write emails and listen to music.
