If you want gifs to animate without having to click on them, after you upload your gif switch to the BBcode editor (source button top left in the editor) and remove the height/XXX width/XXX code.
Or just use html to link the picture in the first place.
More specifically, the height/width code at the end of the
<img src="XXXXXX"
attribute.
