I have read that Sennheiser used LehmannAudio Linear (pre-SE) in the development / tuning of HD600 / HD650.

I have also read that they demo'd the HD800/HD800S at shows with the Linear.

True for the HD 800. When the 800S was launched in 2015 Sennheiser already had its own headphone amps in production, HDVD 800 and HDVA 600, since 2012.

OK then. I will have to wait and check it out.
So, yours still works perfect? Have you replaced any capacitors or anything else?
I too was worried about the capacitors, but this amplifier has only been used for a few hours a year. I removed the cover and saw if the capacitors visually showed any deformation or swelling. Then I did several audio tests with the V200 (as a verifier) and 16 ohm Sony closed headphones. Closed-back, low-impedance headphones are like having a magnifying glass in revealing electronic problems or other anomalies. From how it has been used I would say that for 15 years or more, this amplifier will definitely not give any problems. That machine you see on the volume knob and the halo that left the paper handkerchief soaked in neutral liquid for glasses (first photo).👋

Cool. Have you ever thought about getting it upgraded by Lehmann?

Sorry, I corrected the post above in English.
Yes, I knew about this update, but the sound signature of my old Linear is something amazing. With the V200 and the Linear I have two non-identical high-quality amplifiers.

Got my new amp today. Small, long and the lightest amp that I have bought in years. On a par with the Liquid Spark, I would say.

Nice, clear sound and pretty neutral. I was just finishing up a week with my HD660S2's and so I kept them going for today.

I gave been snapping pics today. Also played with the Schiit Loki a bit already. Can't wait to run all the headphones through this amp.

The marker is discolored, it looks like a 0.6A fuse. The correct fuses to insert are T 0.5A at 120V. Lehmann linear in Europe uses fuses from T 0.25A to 240V.

I found a cheap (€50) Black Cube linear USB and just installed it, not using the DAC. Sounds a bit softer (tonal wise) then the ADI-2 DAC fs. RME goes deeper and is sharper, but the softer Lehmann offers a smooth listening and I like the combination with my DT 1990 a lot.

... did your 'boy' get to set the DIP switches? 😹 [They are set in a way that's not diagrammed ...]

No, at this point he was still psyching up.

Using this with my Arya's today. Starting with 0 gain and it sounds great. I will try a gain of 10 after several more songs.

Really crystal clear, with clear, clean music.
