BMG manufactures CDs for a few companies, and honestly while people believe they are cheap copies, sometimes the quality is exactly the same, in other cases is questionable, but just to mention one, for example the Dream Theater Live in Tokyo, is the same exact copy you will get in any store (but BMG sells it for 9.99, while in other places is a lot more expensive)
I got my Styx collection mainly from Tower Records, and mostly of them are "manufatured for BMG"

I got that Dream Theater disc from BMG too. It doesn't have the BMG logo like many discs do. I don't really care that much, but my willingness to pay is less than if the BMG logo were not there.

There is a "manufactured for BMG direct" in the bar coded area. I haven't noticed anything about sound quality, but I obviously don't have a second copy to compare them to.

Come to think of it, I haven't had an amazing sounding CD from them -- I have been assuming this has to do with the mastering of the albums, not the CD manufacturing.

I don't know whether the Zep stuff has the "BMG" label because I had copies of all of these before I bumped into the yourmusic.com website. I've ordered a ton (meaning at least 100 discs) from yourmusic.com and have yet to come across one with any mention of BMG.
