Cool, I'm going to have to pick this up.  When people give this type of endorsement I'm definitely willing to go out and just buy it when my library doesn't carry it.
As I was telling WA, I don't know any Johnny Cash music other than from Walk the Line so I got 4 Cash CDs to go thru this weekend.

Yup, I mentioned this earlier in the thread.  One of my all-time favorite albums!

In the same vein, I would strongly recommend her Live album (Live at the Loft)

and then there's here schizophrenic but dynamic songmaking on disc 1 vs. disc 2 of Elephants, which were among my most-played albums last year:

Great stuff!  And with the LCD-2's you pick up a LOT of nuances that might otherwise be missed.  A great LCD-2 listening experience...

Johnny Cash...this was the last album that was released while he was alive...you can almost sense that he knew that his days were close to gone.....what an experience...real Americana....its the best.

Taken from Amazon.com shamelessly:

"Johnny Cash s fourth collaboration with producer Rick Rubin for Rubin s American Recordings label was the most successful. Thanks to the popularity of Cash s heartbreaking interpretation of the Nine Inch Nails balled Hurt, American IV: The Man Comes Around became his first non-compilation to go gold in 30 years. The final Cash album released during his lifetime, the spare The Man Comes Around won Album of the Year at the 2003 CMA Awards, while Hurt was nominated for 7 MTV Video Music Awards and won a Grammy for Best Short Form Video, and Give My Love To Rose won a Grammy for Best Country Male Vocal Performance"

I am very envious at you guys being able to get cds at your library.
Ours carries audio books but not music cds.

The Amazon is our place for stuff...

Agreed, listening to it now, first pass through for me.  Gutsy and gritty performance.  Danny Boy, love the organ accompaniment.  Other than Eva Cassidy's version of Danny Boy I can't find another version much better than Cash's.
LCD + Cash = in your head experience of a lifetime

Beach House - Teenage Dream

This album features extremely lush and atmospheric production that plays right into the LCD-2's strengths -- a pairing that truly creates an enveloping experience.
