Larger Ads...

I'm all for supporting an online community, but that fee will probably push people to buy better monitors, or just use software...
There should be extra perks like multicoloured usernames, extra themes, or bookmarks or something.

I like current layout. It is finally readable for me on iPhone - landscape mode, double click on message column to zoom and leave ads column outside of the screen. I also like it on laptop (1920x1080, 125% increased font in system settings, Opera with 150% zoom).

Unfortunately the current VBulletin forum skin is hideous, though with the new version 4 they have replaced it with a proper CSS-based skin, with which, I hope Jude or someone will design something more elegant.

Well, we support running the community as well. Bandwidth, servers, backup, .. is not free...

I didn't realize I could have paid an extra $25 to get rid of these freaking ads! Next year, I'm paying up. I don't buy magazines or subscriptions to any website... this website is my reading material, so I think it would be worth it.

I just went to post a message, and the ads were taking up so much space, that part of the main material was being cut off partly, while other parts of it were still there. It was a strange formatting problem.

Well, either jude is on vacation, or these ads are here to stay it seems.
Pitty, because they are messing up the forum formating at times.

You have to pay for the $75/year to get rid of the ads (Contributing Member 3), not $25.

I'm guessing he's already a CM2. Otherwise the numbers don't make any sense.

That made me lol.

It is annoying, but I don't notice it much since my monitor is a 26" 1920x1200 resolution.

Okay. The ad column was a bit annoying, but now I am on a low resolution 4:3 monitor at work and it is terrible. The ads are almost a 3rd of the screen. It needs to be fixed.
