Landmark music piracy case

What ever happened to friends sharing new purchases? When I was a kid, we'd all buy what we could afford in a week (maybe 10-15 lps between the 3 of us) and get together on Saturday night and record and listen to the other's new lps. We'd record off lp, tape, radio whatever. The quality sucked but you got the feel of the artist. There are many an artist that was bought later because they were in the playlist that got played to death in the car.

The bigtime audiophile would rip their new lps to R2R, saving lp wear. It's just part of the hobby to be able to record. Limiting our hobby and treating us like criminals will kill the industry. Well, that and the product SUCKS.

Carry on.
