I am not sure if the sound has settled in yet. I have a new Lumin U1 and new usb cable paired with the new Lamizator Lite7 .
Only about 40 hours on everything.
I'm comparing the sound to what I had previously a Lumin A1 streamer/dac. It seems to me the sound is more detailed, lush, musical.
The sound is more seamless from highs to lows. Even my sub blends right into the whole presentation. Whats coming out of my speakers
fills the room much better. I'm not very good at descriptions but that is my attempt at it.

Sounds pretty good to me. Still think you have burn in ahead given that at least the capacitors take time to burn in. Also, I believe you have the same issue as the other 7 series DACs which is separate path for both DSD and PCM so you need to burn both in.

I do understand your plight.
Have you tried audio circle
Comp audio Phil forums
Audio shark
Google lampi forums and go to those forums maybe some one has one they are selling. What I can say it's great dac worth far more then the asking
Best of luck

I just out the new eml 45 mesh in first Listen.
Clarity and linearity of a 101 D slightly more weight
Mail voices a tad deeper not sure if that's right or not.
Tubes new have to burn in. So far great sound overall. Playing on speakers for now.
My first B7 came with eml 45 and an eml mesh rec.
I then had the luck to buy the globs in 45 they were clearly a better sound for me. More clarity
These seem to do the same and then some. Over the weekend I'll roll to the anniversary globes to hear the change.
I do not know from timbre or what but I do know what I like and so far they is great gals I bought two pairs.
I would these in 300 B mesh as well. That would be an awesome combo for my headphone rig

So I got the psvane 101d (cheaper) version really to burn in my lampi. $50 a tube on eBay. Have them paired with oldway Brimar 5r4gy and using bhse with stock tubes. Just had a listen on DSD with moonage daydream playing. It sounds freaking good. These 101ds sound awesome. Extended, holographic and still rich. These are the cheapest tubes I have and I could be fine with this setup.

That's interesting as I messaged him about a second hand DAC and he replied the very next day.

As for consumerism Iam not too familiar with price for parts but people I know that build audio gear said that he uses expensive qaulity parts.

Lukasz posted recently on Facebook that he was getting rid of his DYI store. From what I understood, the demand for his assembled products just outpaced his ability to deliver so more and more time was devoted to that and all of the demands of building a business around that. Simply take the example of moving from point to point wiring to PCBs. Hard to scale with point to point and from what I understood, shipping was next to impossible as something would disconnect and would take an expert to fix.

I don't get impression that lukasz is not responsive anymore. I think he goes through different times where he is more or less responsive depending on his workload. As for pricing, his GG is expensive but i still think it represents a great value. Premium parts are expensive. It's using a virgin copper chassis top! Compared to others his part costs to price is pretty reasonable. Is it worth the extra expense? Personal decision. Obviously not as reasonable if you could DIY. But he has way cheaper models with more reasonable cost parts and same design.

But I get the impression of abandoning their roots. Similar to the band who plays bigger and bigger venues. Old fans might feel abandoned. But more of case of success playing new demands.

Im trying to get a handle on all the tube information. I'm guessing the 101d's that came with my Lampizator Lite 7 are one of the lesser expensive models, they have white ceramic bases and psvane 101d written on the tube itself. Is the psvane western electric 101d replica similar sounding but better? Some of the tube options seem very expensive but everything is relative. I have a balanced lite 7 so some of the more expensive options get up there with 4 tubes.

The psvane we replicas are supposed to be better across the board. I only have the psvane white ceramic ones. But based on description of others on we replicas, the sound is similar. The we replicas are more detailed and more extended.

The good and bad about these Lampizators is the choices it offers. And having a balanced makes it all more expensive. I assume you are in the same boat as me from a choice situation. I have balanced GG.

1) one trick is that you can just use the back two spots and run the balanced lampi single ended. Well at least it works with GG. Let's you check out different tubes without buying a quad

2) balanced more limited in tube options than SE versions. Still unclear exactly which we can use. For sure, 45, 101d, px4. I have used we 275a but I assume it is underheated.

I hear the following are among the favorites assuming the above tube types can only be used:

1) psvane we replica 101d
2) Eml 45 globe Lampizator
3) KR px45
4) we 275a and we101d
5) globe 45 Rca if you love the midrange

When you can please post a snap shot of the rear of your gg please blank you see number if you wish.
If we use just the two rear sockets is there an SE output to use ?
Or do we use the the balanced output ?
Also did you get a vol option and an pre amp analog I lit as well ? This is why I want a pic of the Resr please
The imrpovemt of the white to metal is as you stated
It's a cross the board in not texture and linearity as well.
The white can be a bit harsh with some music
But as you stated choices is what makes this dac I feel the best there is to have so far
I also own a msb stack that was about 40 k at the time
And I use the analog SE input for my lampi and go balanced to my cross over box
The lampi beats the msb in both pcm and msb as well.
Although they both sound great , also the new mesh globe 45 are a 45 sound with almost a 300 B weight and a slight more neutral tone. For me it's perfection.
Piano is a great way to know just how good your setup is. It's over tones as the strings inside vibrate make it very difficult to reproduce. My msb does this very well but the lampi does improve on it noticeable. I think it's a combination of the tubes used and the lampi chip less dsd sound
For now I am using an eml 274 B mesh recti a vt99 driver
And the new eml mesh 45 globes.
This is playing through my msb as passive analog conversion of SE to balanced due to about 50 feet of interconnect needed to go to the cross over point. Keep in mind my room is big
At 20 wide , 9 high and about 50 deep. The IRS v need plenty of room to develope there staging. The mid tweeter towers are at 12 feet from rear walls. My point is the system is very transparent as such what might not be heard on some systems is heard loudly on mine.
Also a point I would like to make to help others. SE interconnects over 6 feet effect the sound big time.
Balanced is needed past that point and using simple conversion connectors gets you back about 80 of what's lost
After that more expensive change overs are needed to get that last bit back.
Mogami gold bacnced cables are cheap when compared to hi end audio cables custom made. And the better change overs are about 300 a set.
