The interior 'flanges' of the headband that I'm trying to attach the KSC75 to has too much space in the center so the nut of the KSC75 wouldn't snap in. Are there resin like material that can be injected into the center pit to take up the rest of the space?

It's a little difficult to envision what you are working with without a photo, but the closest thing I've found that is somewhere between hot glue and epoxy is professional level glue sticks .... problem is they require an expensive glue gun (starting at around $50). I personally use the Surebonder PRO2 and TEC Bond 7718 glue sticks. I've found it works well when modding headphones for clients, attaching crossover networks to the inside of a speaker, and filling up cavities in various plugs, etc.

If price is an issue, you may just have to go with something like J-B Weld or a similar epoxy.

You could try Blu-tack, it's non-permanent but has enough grip that it would keep the cups situated to some extent.
