I own the TD/75's and have been pleased with them for many years, but wonder if I should "upgrade" to something like the Beyer DT 831's. Just wondering if anyone else can pipe in with an opinion on these older cans. Thanks. I guess I need to be "convinced" that these old Koss headphones should be shelved.....

You really do need to upgrade, but interestingly enough I have a pair of these my self... and as far as I'm concerned I still enjoy them! Although I need a new headband for em ;3

Ho-ho-ho! I still use and enjoy. Of course no more impression as it was when I boght it in mid-90's, but...
The sound is still perfect! I would say that originaly the model is open style and difficult to use in a noisy environment. The ear pads overhead no more covered with artificial leader. Plush is also nice and even more comfortable to wear. Plastic already dryed and provides it's own noise when moving ) painting on the cups disappeared. But the sound remains very nice!
