I bought a pair of 75's and modded them with a sennheiser cable from the 580/600's, it fixed all the evils of the 75's for a reasonable price...I'm yet to find a can for under $100 that compares...imo...

You can get KSC-35's if you're willing to pay $35 for them on eBay...

I'd rather just get three pairs of KSC-75's and put different cables on each of them.

I have both and prefer the 35. IMO it's warmer, a little less grainy in the hi mid region, and a little less in your face than the 75. I do enjoy the 75 very much, but cannot listen to for extended periods.
