Excuse me, but where are the four screws?

Do you mean the screws under the headband?

They are under the earpads. Pull off the earpads to unscrew them.

They are kind of a pain to put back on though.

You have to pull off the earpad cushion. The 4 screws are under the corners of the foam sheet. Gently lift up each corner of the foam sheet to expose the screws. If you exercize caution, you can re-adhere the corners when you puit it back together.

Actually, no: they are not good for gaming. There seems to be distortions on explosions, though they are great for 3d positioning.

I've also been finding the A250 fatiguing with a lot of my music. I am, however, really sensitive to harsh/bright highs. The A250 isn't really harsh in the top end per se, but it is definitely overemphasized and not natural. However, the upside of this is that they are extremely detailed and revealing. They should make very good monitors in situations where tone and tonal balance aren't what's being monitored for. I also concur that they're really good for electronica, provided that it's not very brightly produced.

The bass is a bit recessed normally, but paired with a bassy amp it's really quite terrific and is easily one of the best features of these cans. Very tight, fast, and goes very deep. It's not quite as good as the bass on the SR-404, but it's quite a bit better than many popular headphones that are held here in very high esteem

Still can't believe that I got these for $30...

So it would be best to pair these with an amp that improves bass while "softening" the highs? What do you recommend to tone down the brightness?
