Koss a/250 vs. Koss esp6/7?

To my ear the A250 easily crushes the ESP6, and I say this as a person who generally prefers electrostats to dynamics by a wide margin. An ESP950, however, is another story.

If you want something mammothly heavy clamping, uncomfortable and with unreliable and mediocre sound, go for a vintage koss electrostat.

Elsewise, go for the A250.

"The Koss ESP6, nearly 1kg of electrostatic goodness..."

If headphone goodness were based on weight, we'd be shooting it out between the ESP6, AMT, 4070 and HP-2. And I know what I'd be rating at the bottom.

The 4070 is surprisingly comfy despite it's mammoth weight and it also looks so cool. How much does the AMT weigh?

No indeed, but I'm not sure how Precide took the measurements... the Ergo 1 and 2 are 380 grams and the AMT 580 grams (according to the box) but to my hand that cannot be right, unless the Ergo 2 weight includes the cable and the AMT weight does not (and the AMT cable is thicker and heavier than the Ergo 2 cable). Along with the cable the AMT must be over a kilo...
