What is the price of the PR3, i can't even see it on KZ website.

Hold on, just found it. 26 quid but not on KZ offical AE website. is this correct?

$29.99 for Pre-Sale, was also eligible for all 11.11 discount codes. Other stores like LuckLZ or KZ Franchise might sell less for BF events.

I didn't take the bite cuz there's no mentioning of bass quantity improvement. The provided graphs still look Upper-Mids prominent ...maybe tamed a little bit of lower treble compared to PR2, might not be my thing, but YMMV.

The pre-sale price was $30~ and the "regular" price is supposed to be around $50. The pre-sale has ended so I'd be careful with low-priced listings, especially if they go lower than even the pre-sale price.
edit: although 26 quid does sound about right for pre-sale.
This is on the KZ Earphones Franchised Store . I think its trustworthy.

Does anyone know if there are any comparisons between ZS10 Pro X and its classic KZ style stealth revision? They have changed the BA configuration at some point, the original version that I have in my ears right now, has 1x 50024s dual BA + 2x 30019s, while the currently marketed (and probably sold) one has 2x 50024s dual BAs without the 30019s. Assuming the BAs actually contribute anything(which is not a given for KZ), there should be some difference?

As for PR3, I've ordered one too in the pre-sale. Hope it doesn't disappoint (too much). I haven't tried the previous planar IEMs, and that'll be my first planar IEM (or planar-anything) in general.

As for the "electronic filter" maube it's just some simple capactor-resistor-coil passive filter to get rid of some unwanted peaks, athought I'm not sure if that wouldn't cut out the targeted frequencies entirely, which wouldn'y be desirable either.

As far as I recall. The initial pretty publicity pictures of ZS10 PRO X came out showing it had four identical BAs. That was subsequently corrected to show it had different BAs for mids and treble. Just like the original ZS10 PRO and the TRN ST5 it was competing against. Ain't marketing wonderful? Artists impressions, alternative facts... whatever?

The current product page does show just 2x(or 4x depending on how we look at it) 50024s, complete with how they go into the shell

So if it's like you say, did they never fix that? Most of stores currently show this version, too.

Ever notice a startling similarity to the product information for the same item in different stores? Lots of copy and paste, not so much updating!

First impressions on the Bass Edition Castor. Haven't played with the switches, cable or tips yet. Hell yes, this is double DD done right. Leaves TRN MT4 in the dust. Actually tempted to pick up the Harmon edition as well on Black Friday!:L3000:

Castor Harman Edition is very good indeed. I use 1110 switch setting. KZ have really stepped up their tuning recently, I have also been very pleased with the Krila and AS16 Pro. Looking forward to the PR3, it will be the first single driver Planar in my collection.

In KZ hybrids, are all the drivers engaged even if all switched are off, that means 0000 or DDDD position? CVJ mei has a pure DD option with BAs turned off

Yeah, in KZ Hybrid switches,
its not turning off one of the drivers, it send instruction to the electronic filters to alter the FR.
Its more of milder physical EQ

Alright, my PR3 has been shipped, and I've ordered on the last day of the pre-sale or maybe a day before that (not sure which day it ended exactly) so maybe they're not terribly low on stock with them. Waiting for delivery is a whole another story though...

Just bought my first KZ (AS16) in years while these are still burnin' and churnin' IMHO it would be hard to find a better rig for under $50:wink:
