I'm glad I decided to go back to the M500 as my portable. I don't know how I forgot about these during my quest. I guess my time with them was so short lived... that I not only forgot how awesome they sound... but also forgot they actually existed...

Just joined!

I bought M200s over the weekend, chose them over B&W C5 mainly due to claimed higher bass output and dual drivers. Been reading through the thread and it looks like the choice was good. These are my first headphones in this price range: I've used Sennheisers, Sonys and Shures at around half this price previously - and will continue to do so at the gym since the cables break after 1-3 years of use.

I'm not too happy with the tips, though. I have medium ear canals, and the tips feel too hard, uncomfortable, and I can't get a consistent seal. I've seen several mentions of Comply tips, which are sold here (NL). Any recommendations? Do all of them fit the M200? On that topic, is there a way to get custom molds for the M200 (newbie question)?

I like the sound of the headphones, still in honeymoon period, though. Two complaints: volume is quite low from an iPod, and microphonics are really bad, worse than any in-ears I've used. I'll see if I get used to it.

Okay guys, I've been searching but can't find a thorough comparison of the M500 and HP50. I absolutely love the M500, but my curiosity of the HP50 won't let up! Some comparisons between the two would be greatly appreciated!

@Metalomaniac, I'm using vmoda bliss tips (large, clear), and loving them on the m200's (and on my h200's for that matter). $5 for 4 pairs. Really comfortable. Great seal. Beautiful sound!

So I am thinking about some M200s - anyone worn them to the gym or jogging? Do they stay on?

Definitely not for gym or jogging. Fit is very specific and will pop out if larger movement

I use them occasionally at the gym. The ear hooks are an advantage, but you're right, it is important to have a good fit and seal or else they pop out. I've achieved that with the comply tx and tsx500 tips, the ue900 tips, and with the vmoda bliss 3.0 tips, and they stay in well. Not sure about jogging though.

The only reason I don't use them more often at the gym is because they don't isolate as well as my h200's do (I really like to block out the secondary sound at the gym).

Thanks.  It doesn't say that it's for 4 pairs, but if that's what you received, I guess that's what you get for $5!  What sonic changes did these tips give you over the stock tips?

Just ordered! Will try them with the H300.
Thanks for sharing masa' Wayne!

Yer welcome! Still meaning to get back to you about how they change the sound on the h200's versus the mh1c tips...
