@FiiO I've been unable to use the SPDIF out on the KA13. I'm on the latest firmware and have enabled the function in the app but the receiving device (JDS Labs Atom Amp+) doesn't receive any signal. The KA13 is connected to a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.
Has anyone here successfully used SPDIF out with the KA13?

Yes. As already posted in an other thread, it worked fine with simultaneous SPDIF output to a mojo but you have to use a 4-pol TRRS plug on the KA13 side according to the Fiio „standard“ for the coaxial signal.Concerning the Fiio KA13: I received it today (curiosity kills the wallet) and I will not (yet) comment on sound impressions but would like to give some input regarding to the power and the SPDIF-output. I updated to FW 0.12 (Independent hardware volume).
1. The "power":
I placed one of my hardest to drive headphones the Hifiman HE6se V2 on the miniDSP EARS to be able to max out the volume(s) and used in balanced mode from the 4.4mm outputs the Fiio KA13 (desktop mode) and the Questyle M15 (high gain), and the iBasso DC04pro (high gain, turbo mode). Not that anyone thinks, these dongles drive the HE6 well, it is just not directly distorting at full volumes.
The KA13 clearly "wins" by 1-2 dB in terms of loudness. I was however surprised, that the M15 (green) and DC04pro (orange) generate the same SPL.
2. The 3.5mm SPDIF output:
It can be switched on in the Fiio Control/Music app and is a Coaxial-output in the typical Fiio layout (i.e. TRRS with S and 2nd R carrying the digital signal/ground). That way you can still get normal single ended audio output from the same 3.5mm port. And (to answer my own question) Yes, 4.4mm and SPDIF output are available simultaneously (!)
You can thus route the digital signal to a mojo or any other DAC with coaxial input. That was the main reason for me to buy it.

Thanks for the reply! I dug back a ways but this thread has gotten long. I actually saw your post before I bought the KA13 but it hadn't even occurred to me that I could actually make use of the SPDIF out.
Care to share the cord you're using?
I didn't buy the 4-pol style (drat) so that's the culprit.
The coiled red one is actually a kind of „hack“; it is meant to connect microphones with 3.5mm TRS outputs to the 3.5mm TRRS inputs of smartphones (e.g.: „Ancable“, B088T1MRVQ… but there are many more in the 5 to 10 USD range). It might not be ideal in terms of coaxial signal integrity (coaxial impedances) but it works flawlessly with the mojo and Fiio coaxial outputs. The one on the left is the original one from one of my Fiio DAPs (or the Q5s… don’t remember) to connect the fiio devices to the coaxial cinch/RCA SPDIF input of DACs. The one on the right is an expensive and stiff version made for the fiio-mojo connection. Aliexpress also sells 4pol TRRS 3.5mm to RCA cables for less than 10 USD but I am not sure if the layout is correct (e.g.: Digital koaxial audio kabel 3,5mm stecker auf cinch-stecker spdif audio ausgang kabel https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ev8Z8uZ).

Hi to all i have some Fiio products but never had any portable dongle from them. So i bought KA13 100 euros are great price for this , nice packaging it has all the cables inside i like that they are braided and have adapters for phone,pc,apple, my other dongles that was way more expensive had to buy them extra.
So PC Connection was driverless , my Fiio Control panel for my desktop Fiio dac amp find it fast and everything worked great , then i connected to my Android 13 phone a Sony V find it fast and play the sound directly no problem at all. Android app find it also fast and there are no EQ adjustments but only Low pass filters, there was some problems for example when i am on volume menu and move up and down didnt change on the fly i had to go back to home and back again to see the change and some times when i did that app crashes. But anyway it doesnt do anything more that filters so...
I have tried some of my headphones HD600,650,660s , Sundara, He 400se ... everything runs great with a lot of power and honestly HD660s work ok on None Desktop mode and even on SE. Using Balanced 4.4 also worked without problems power was enough on all my HD 6 line .
Connection on both 3.5 and 4.4 is tight no Connection problems at all , volume up and down buttons are stiff thats amazing because when i have it on my pocket doesnt pressed at all. Overall is amazing for the price .
My only problem is the Sound is very Bright , and to me its not normal compared to Fiio k5pro , K5proess, Ifi Micro black, Dragonfly red, THX onyx , and other dac amps that i have, I have tried on both 3.5 and 4,4 and also change the cables on all HD 6 line and also keep listening yesterday the shame song an all these dac amps that i said and i am sure its brighter that the others . I am not an expert to say what is correct or no but to my ears is brighter.
When i got it it had Firmware 0.12 and before i even listen it i update to 0.15 , So is there any solution ( for me and my taste) to make the sound warmer ? Use different firmware or even make the sound Warmer Via Android app and Low Pass filters ( what is the warmer with lower treble filter ?)
Last question is , if we change low pass filter inside the app , and then connected to different phone or pc , does it keep the selected filter or it goes back to default ?

It keeps the filter you last chose i believe.
Ka3 can be bright ka5 not. Maybe return it and buy ka5.
By the way ka5 does a great combination with 660s. Improves the bass a lot.

Ok so Now the cable USB c to USB c keeps losing connection with the smallest movement.
Does anyone had the luck to have any support from Fiio at all ?
Previously I wanted support for my fiio desktop DAC amp no luck... Now I have send mails and FB msg for ka13 again no luck.
I guess is pointless to ask for cable support ?

@FiiO I'm having audio interference issues with the KA13.
The audio will start and stop, cut out entirely, cut out from just the right channel, etc.
This can be caused by any small movements, touching the device, or even waving my hand over the device.
