So I just got myself a K702, and id like to pair it with a nicer amp than my e17, only I dont know if ill need a new dac to go with it, I'm pretty sure the LO bypass only works with the E09k not the 3.5mm aux jack, so if I take my e17, and connect it to a better amp maybe around ~$1000+ (I plan on getting more headphones that just my k702) will the amp in the e17 ruin the sound quality?
 
im thinking (and hoping) it works like magnifying glasses, if you take a low power glass and shine it on paper, it wont burn the paper, but if you take that low power glass and shine it into a high power glass it will have just as much if not more power
 
so, will this setup work? or will the e17's built in amp ruin it.

I've done this, in my last rig where I was essentially dual-amping from the FiiO e17 headphone out to my Hifiman ef5 amp, and then to my HE-500s, and I wouldn't say it degraded the sq to any substantial degree. If you're worried about it, you can get the FiiO line-out dock and bypass the amp that way. I'd experiment with both.
