Can anyone tell me what the default angle is on these cans? I removed them for cleaning. The earcups are angled.

Thicker part of the earpads are towards the rear, they're supposed to mimic the toe-in of speakers and position the drivers somewhat the same from your ear canals. Yes, putting the earpads back is a little tricky - a local Harman dealer had their demo Q701's earpads with the thicker section on top, and they insist that was the only way the earpads would fit. I couldn't fix it either, as much as I tried for over fifteen minutes, but a few weeks later I borrowed their Q when I had a review unit Burson Soloist, and they were put in properly already. Some guy came in, noticed the problem, and was able to put it back normally. I think you just need to get past what the clips look like and maybe push in the pins or slide/swing them around before you push in the clips tight.
