Been debating if i should go with senn's 650 or a k701/702....decided to go with the akg's...and I researched that heed canamp has great synergy with it.... i searched google and the amp for sale forum but couldnt get a price of a new or used heed canamp.  so if anyone has a ball park figure for a new or used one would be great.  need to know how many packets or ramen noodles i have to eat in a row to get them....hahaha

also one quick question... i always see k701's for sale and they usually have the stand.... does the k702's come with a stand?

I've heard a K702 with a Heed CanAmp before and can just confirm what the people say about the synergy, it's like they're made for each other. If you need a headphone stand, WooAudio makes some sexy and sleek stands.

yeah.... but the k701 stand thing is one of a kind.... how is the recabling the k701/702?  better or is the stock one sufficient?

I haven't had the chance to hear a recabled K701/2 yet, but apparently it's quite a pain to do the recabling and should be left to people who are used to it, especially if you're aiming for a dual entry.

Performing a dual entry into an AKG K701 is not for the faint of heart, mine were done by Alex of APureSound using his V3. I have since sold them but I remember their sound fondly.
