I think I saw one of these posted for sale on eBay.de not too long ago. Don't remember the price. If it is reasonable, it may be a way to cable roll the K1000's to your amp and get just the right sound you prefer.

hmmmmm...looks interesting. The PDF of the spec literature has a publish date of Sept. 90...wonder if it is still available for sale.
