I have had the K1000 for a few months now and have been using it unamped. I must say I was really amazed what it could do even without proper amping.

Suffice to say, the K1000 might give you very fast fatigue and they will really benefit from proper amping. It is actually pretty scary to imagine what they are possible of.

So here comes the big joe, a little speaker amp. It puts out 16 watts of power, which is the same like most 300b tube amps. 300b tube bliss with solid state ease?

I can now listen for hours without fatigue and overall Im pretty amazed what this little amp can do with the K1000: Bass is going deeper, soundstage seems more full bodied, harshness and fatigue are totally gone.

The big joe truly made the K1000 level up a few notches and Im quite pleased with it, especially for its value.

Those who are intrested and located in europe should contact Firestone-audio.eu and ask for the V1.3 version.

Looks like a nice little budget amplifier for the K1000.

300b put out 8.5 watts at the best

A total of 16 watt, so 2 x 8 watt per channel.

Then, you need to buy two.. How likely is that?

I have no idea what this means.

Most 300B amps put out 8 watt PER CHANNEL thus a total of 16 watt, as does the big joe.

I misunderstood then. :)

I thought u meant 16w total per channel. To do that, you would need to bridge it and you need two amp in that configuration.

The slanted description of this amp is beginning to piss me off :/ This has ZERO to do with a 300b, besides the fact that it puts out 8watts/channel. I hate sleazy marketing.

But I LOVE Class D amps for the K1000

I'm sure the OP will have the time of his life with it!
