I would like to buy earphones with good bass because I love dubstep.  So far I've got three to choose from:

JVC Xtreme Xplosives Headphones with Remote and Mic

JVC Xtreme Xplosives In-Ear Canal Headphones

JVC HAFX1X Xtreme Xplosives

http://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-HAFX1X-Xtreme-Xplosives-Headphones/dp/B004S7Q8CA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363458773&sr=8-1

I have the larger over-ear headphones of these XXs so I know how good the bass is.  I tried the JVC HAFX1Xs and they were awesome - the bass is great but the clarity might have been sacrificed.  It has a 10mm diaphragm whereas the others have 8.5mm, which means the 10mm has more bass as I understand it.

Also, with the Remote and Mic, it's cheaper than without?!  Why?!

Currently I have SoundMagic E10s.  They are clear but the bass isn't enough for my liking.

Any help is appreciated!

TDK MT-300 / TDK EB-750 are a couple other relatively cheap options ( cost not sound )

Crazy bass/

using an equalizer a.k.a. EQ in head-fi lingo ( hopefully your source has one ) to fix or adjust whatever issues there might be slightly. Always drop stuff down from 0 rather than adjust things up from zero. Sort of like when nobody wants to volunteer for something and everyone steps backwards except the one person

The HAFX101 has better bass than the older model HAFX1X, and the HAFR201 is the HAFX101 but with a mic. All of which are the ones you linked. I own the HAFX101 it sounds good, but the bass is too much for me sometimes as I am not big on bass. And from my research the bass and sound from the HAFX101 is far superior to the older HAFX1X.

What would you say are the best headphones for drum and bass, dubstep, techno, trance,Ambient Rock?
both in ear and over ear, under  a budget of $150 for each, im really curious about what the market can bring to a new audiophile like me.
