I love how they're so easy to put in and that I don't have to fiddle around with memory wires and stuff. And the bass is sorted out by not jamming them in too tight.

Yeah same here. I really like how they sound. You just have to have a good souce to pair them with. The Hifiman 601 does a lovely job with them...

Would an M50 be a reasonable headphone alternative to the FX700? If so, what would be a main differences in sound?
