Yep, today a friend gave me back my Grado HP-2 phones. I traded it to him over 10 years ago for a PS Audio pre-amp. In fact, I didn't even remember selling the Grados to him until last summer, when I mentioned that I was looking for a pair.

He decided to give them to me because he rarely used them. Still has the original box... with my sales receipt from May 1994 included with the warranty card and instructions! Condition is good... the red lettering is worn. He just purchased new ear pads from Grado.

I'm fired up to use them! Needless to say, I'll probably be selling my HF-1 phones pretty soon.

I personally wouldn't sell the hf1s just because you got the hp2s back. The HP2s are good, but I prefer my (woodied) hf1s to the hp1000s.

easy, go back in time, give something of value to a friend. Then later, they might give it back.
