didnt you accidently buy the AH-C551? :p

Those go for around 50 and the C751 for around 100. They look pretty much the same only the C751 are a bit longer.
If they rly are the 751s, then it was a bloody good buy lol :p

The C751 has landed today.

Quick delivery by the U.S mail. They sound really good I must say and definitely a bargain. Nice clarity and presentation. Good in the bass and the upper notes as well. I use the medium size tips since the large ones give me a boomy bass that's too much for my taste. Your milage may vary. The fit is good and comfortable for my inner canals.

I really like the sound plugged directly into the iPod but being the tweaker that I am, I usually have some amps laying around.

Paired with Ray Samuels Hornet portable amp

Paired with the Head Direct EF1 hybrid tube amp

Listening to a bunch of tracks right now as I type this and I really like the over all balance. Good job Denon. Recommended.

They need about 150 hrs of burn in . Right out of the box they're pretty boomy and shrill.

I really miss mine... too bad they kinda just fell apart on me and eventually crapped out on one side. :\

Which sources are they?

I have both the C700/751 and the C710, and to me the C710 is definitely a step backwards, sounding less coherent and more boomy than their older bretherin.

Its all a case of YMMV, yet - after a helluva long time of Mark2410's posts, I decided to listen to him, and pick up the C751s (from Amazon, so not as good a price as that from PC-World, but still a lot better than RRP!!) and, even at the price I paid (approx £70) I believe these offer phenomenal value

it is the shortest of any cables I think i have ever seen, but - yes, 1000% better than that of the C710...

...On a par with the IE8 / HJE900 cable (albeit not detachable)

I cannot get over the synergy of the C700 and the iPhone 3GS - Makes my Sony X1060 totally unused

It's been a while since I read that long C710 Review thread. As far as I can remember people, incl soozieq and cn11, thought that except for the cable they were a definitive improvement, especially in the mids and soundstage.

Unfortunately my C700 died 2 months ago (after 3 years of daily use - no complaints here), so I won't be able to compare them myself. The C700 were sticking out of my ears quite a lot so hopefully the new angled design will be better for me.

Hi Suba3333...

The only reason I asked, when I first got the C751, I plugged them into my Nokia N900 and was instantly underwhelmed... I then plugged them into my Sony X, and again was disappointed - I finally plugged them into my 3GS and was instantly hooked...

So, basically, I am unsure if they are fussy / hard to drive, or are one of those rare breeds of components that just have a perfect synergy with certain gear...

The C710 are pretty much the opposite, sounding good (but, to these ears, not great) with the Nokia and Sony X, but sound completely overblown through the 3GS...

Duncan, with "sources" I meant people recommending them and not equipment!!
Funny misunderstanding.

These are another IEM that sound better after 100+ hours of play. Amazes me how good they sound with an amp. Very happy with them especially seeing how inexpensive they are. I ordered an Ibasso T4 just for these.
