Just got my UE 10 in the mail. I excitedly opened it up, saw the black tips and I knew those weren't going to fit my ears. I stripped my RE2 of their biflanges and put them on... they fit! I insert them into my ear, turned on the ipod and OMG, I thought RE2 had bass... I was wrrrrrroooooong! The lower end of the spectrum is definitely a world apart from RE2. I can't wait till I get an amp on this!

But I can't keep them in my ears! The triplefis are so big, that any force exerted onto the wires have more leverage, and cause them to to pull themselves out. I try to wear them upside down. Not only does this look kind of stupid (in my ears at least), it is also still quite hard to make stay in. The wires are pretty tough, like wires, so I shaped them as much as I can. This solved the problem, but only if I do not move! The sound quality also shift with every little bit of movement, so I'm not sure what I can do. Also the wires are  fixed in a loop,  anyone know of a way to straighten wires so they don't act like a spring? Anyone have quick fixes?

I'm still trying... I think I'm going to need to get some tips that are shaped like drills or really expands in the ear canal... anyone know where I can find any? I've went so far as to drown my ear in soap hoping my ear canal will have some traction. No dice.

What tips are you using? You can try some triple flanges on them to see if that helps. I never adapted to the sound as well as the fit was troublesome since I lost seal quite often while I had these. These do have some serious ergonomic issues.

unfortunately you share the same fate as many TF10 owners who don't have a great fit with them on.... if you don't already have an amp on hand, consider using that money instead on getting them remolded into customs via Fisher or UM.  it'll solve your fit & cable problems in one go! ^__^

//sidenote: "UE 10" is more often associated with the actual UE 10 customs, more so than the UE TF10 universals :)

But be warned that a sound distortion/change is a plausible side-effect.

Triple flanges... any that you know will fit the TF?

As far as customs.... I am scared of the price... Last time I looked into customs moulding, they cost as much as the price for triplefi. I think the price is due to the scarcity of clients and novelty of the item; if it's a household operation it would probably be like 30 bucks

I'm pretty sure Fisher Hearing remolds for $80.
EDIT: Fisher Hearing, Fischer Audio, Fisher Audio...I don't recall their differences, but it's bound to be one of those three.

Check out the Sony EPEX10A Hybrid Replacement Earbuds. My local best buy had them for 8 bucks. I used to use the flip flop mod w/stock tips then switched back to the normal "bolt style" after swapping to these hybrid tips. Anyway, they fit more securely and the seal is much improved. The replacement tips fit a little tight around the tf10's nozzle so be careful when putting them on/taking them off.

Edit: forgot to add "ymmv", just sharing my own personal experience...
