...well, about 2 hours ago actually. It was 8.30pm just outside of the house, all I can tell that it is a blackish small snake (...and to think I saw a small cobra outside a few months ago).

Now I am already an hour in the hospital's A&E - a few blood draw, put onto ECG twice, needle poking around, all the standard stuffs. So far can't say I feel ill anyway except of the very uncomfortable contraption they put on my leg that was bitten.

About 3 hours in, going to be transferred to normal ward for overnight observation.

Damn homie. Hope you alright. I got bit by a copperhead a few years ago while on the job. It didn't envenomate(???) me but the bite got infected and my leg swelled up like 2x size.

Since snakes only feed once every week or so they are reluctant to empty their sacs into something that isn't prey, so I hope you are OK. The stuff you have out there is stuff that makes our snakes look like earth worms.

Just passed 6 hours after getting bitten, 2 doctors came and gone - seem I am pretty lucky that there isn't any venom in my system as I have shown no sign of any kind so far. Both doctors said I should be able to leave after the 24hrs mandatory observation cycle. Better yet, they took that silly contraption off my leg so it is much more comfortable now.
