JQ Audio Impressions Thread

I am loving my HJ! I still prefer the misodiko tips. I received the jh roxanne to ab today. I was ultimately going to choose one or the other and thought I was going to land with roxanne based off my lola impression. roxanne is sold.

I was pleasantly surprised that the soundstage with hua jiang was very similar to me. this was shocking bc I really thought siren series had an enormous soundstage. I really enjoyed hearing the drummers sticks play by phronesis with the HJ. There are all these wonderful nuanced characteristics the estats provide. HJ was so smooth to my ears. This is surprising to me bc they are so dynamic. Most instruments are really easy to track.

listening through a thx 887 I wish the bass was a little flatter through 100 hz. Where the stand up bass was further back in roxanne and kick drum was a tad more prominent with HJ I found the DD really fills the space and gives this IEM a warm signature ymmv.

honestly can't wait till I saved up for these. can I ask about extention in both low and high frequencies any noticeable roll off? also how do you find the detail on these bggar made a huge claim imo comparing to the p1 in that aspect. do you think that opinion holds up? do these feel like they leave you wanting more or less of anything at all?

can anyone compare with any other tribrid or for me the fearless s8z?

S8z is probably my most favorite iem. I really love the tonality, clarity and detail. I would consider this my reference IEM. S8f was my first iem I ever purchased so somewhat of a fanboy.

I’ve had solaris, z1r, itsfit fusion, and then a ton of sub $100 iems. that being said I don’t have s8z to AB but from memory. I always wanted more texture and bass in s8z. IMO Solaris is the most accurate I’ve heard for jazz with acoustic and live recordings. I enjoy live instruments with natural decay and reverb that I missed in s8z. HJ does this very well although I must say, it is not my most favorite with electronic. Z1r was really good in that aspect.

There is speed and punch in s8z that is very engaging. I don’t find it harsh and fearless tuned it very well imo. I like the versatility of the different drivers in HJ. You have three different drivers providing all kinds of different textures and speeds. For me I think this makes my music more emotional.

kz tips ftw. this is first earphone that I have enjoyed with silicone. minimal isolation but bass is more subdued and "accurate" to my liking. almost like an open back. more air and separation to my ears. purchasing s8z and s8f for second time. OTW. Comparisons incoming. This is the upgrade cable option on Linsoul.

I just put in an order for the JQ Hua Jiang after much deliberation vs the EJ07. Here's hoping they hold me over as I haven't purchased a TOTL IEM since 2008, when I splurged for a pair of IE8s, which have satisfied me till now. Didn't opt for the upgraded cables, tho. For the extra price, I put it towards a DUNU HULK instead.

Will post impressions once I am able to spend some time with them. FYI I grabbed them from Linsoul but Jessie from customer service mentioned that they are waiting for their next shipment, which should land next week.

Edit: spelling
