I am not much of a reviewer, but I can provide my thoughts on the Squared vs eq’ed LCD-XC. I’ve got a Magnius and Lyr+ currently with a Mjolnir 2 on the way. My Multibit Gumby was just delivered and will be feeding the amps.

It has been an expensive month.

What exactly is the difference, just a larger cup space? I don't see it on the website, but does this one come in an open back version also?

Exactly, just more space inside the cup.

I believe the more spacious cup gives a more spacious sound but may reduce bass levels slightly.

Likely using different damping material or more of it to avoid unnatural resonance. I'd like to see it side by side with the 1st XTC.

Very interesting. I stumbled upon this thread through kennerton jh edition 2023. They link to a reviewer who compared that model to the xtc-c very favourably so very much interested in this one now instead of the kennerton.

What pads do you guys use with your XTC's? The ones I have attached add so much airiness, which brings out the little details and adds to the soundstage, while affecting the bass impact/punch (which I find essential) very little, anyone with a pair of these that listen to Electropop/Vocal EDM, I really say you try them out!
