well.  looks like John Kenny has been quite busy. 
 
He has just introduced a new SPDIF converter and a new DAC (presumably with same converter onboard).

These two new products do not use modified HiFace devices, only the same source clocks.
So it appears that Kenny's devices have graduated to the next level - completely from scratch.
 
He says he is about 4 weeks away from being able to ship these new products.
 
Based on my experience with the JKDAC32, i have very high expectations for the Ciunas DAC.
Kenny claims a lower noise floor than his previous models, which would be some feat.  

Chances are pretty high that I will order this DAC when it is available.  Anyone else as excited about this as I am?

I wonder the same thing, to be honest.
If this new product is kenny's attempt to free himself of the hiface...
Will have to wait until he reveals further details...

I almost got the JKDAC32 late last year, but with one thing or another I decided to wait until the order taking resumed this year. I've been looking for something to replace my HRT Music Streamer II+ for a while now and the Ciúnas DAC looks like it's going to be it. Take my money now!

If it sounds better than the jkdac 32 I would put up against any other dac out there, no matter the price.

the 32 is top of my wishlist but no funds for a few months, so will wait for news on this new dac .

Still all quiet on this front?  His website still says 4-5 weeks for delivery.

Haven't heard anything yet. I was going to ask for an update on EDO compatibility (which it SHOULD given it's UAC2) next week.
