thanks. did not even think of that.

He used to not even sell assortments.  So one of his listings like this is a pretty good deal:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/22-AWG-Silver-Plated-PTFE-Wire-Assortment-50-feet-19-strand-audio-amplifier-/231511449707?hash=item35e728606b

Stay away from Kynar, stay away from the coax and single strand, etc.

Look for the 22 AWG, Silver-plated, PTFE, 19-strand.  In some cases he will specify the overall OD.  You might take a look at that, too, and make sure you get the smallest OD, because that will mean the thinnest insulation.  Some of the thicker ones are hard to work with.  It looks like 0.0465 inch would be reasonable.

Also, when he says, "good for audio," that still probably means hook-up wire.  You can make interconnects with it that are just fine, but most people will tell you that even his 24 ga is too stiff to make good headphone cable.

His stuff is all I've every used for hookup wire except for my first CMoy - for almost 9 years, now.
