I have been listening to 2.4.4 and can say that it is a definite improvement, somehow even more tonal density, impact, timing precision and focus, finer detail and microdynamics and even less grain.  This is still by far my favourite audio player.  Well worth converting your music library to WAV

I wonder if someone could write a little .exe application that would
 
a. allow a flac file to be right clicked on in Windows Explorer and
 
b. decompressed to .wav loaded into RAM
 
c. launch Jie to play the .wav out of RAM
 
Is that possible?
 
It would give the advantage of Jie being unmodified so it still sounds great with a  convenience bonus.

I have Q9550 Intel Quad Core and Win8 Pro 64.
 
I use the Pro version with the jepshell in X64 directory right ?
 
What is priority 1 and 7 ? 1 = best or 7 = best ?

Not the best, to find suitable parameters
Default is 1,7
7=highest priority

I'm running the latest JEP, 2.4.4 (AVX), on a dedicated audio PC and it sounds better than any other audio player for Windows - and I've tried them all and keep track of updates. Jie Extreme Player is brilliant. I only have one problem: the latest JEP will miss certain tracks when I'm playing a full album, and I can't work out why. Is this a bug? Thanks again from a grateful user.

JEP can only support standard WAV files and cannot contain other tags.
JEP does not use the Windows API to parse wav file.
To ensure high quality sound output, JEP compatibility make it bad, sorry.

Why not the best ? Can you explain more what is not ok and what is the manner to have the best ?

Why can't you have it unzip the FLAC files just before playback? cPlay does this. Also how does this compare to cPlay because I feel that is the best sounding player so far.

Thanks for the reply. But what exactly is the 'standard' WAV file? Does is contain any kind of tag?
I've tried clearing all tags using dbPoweramp. I've also renamed individual files starting with the track number (01, 02, 03 etc). 
But I'm still experiencing this problem.

Do other players play these files in order under event mode WASAPI - I found my DDC driver to be the culprit in my inability to play certain files.  I also found that buffer length seemed to influence the stability of my DDC under WASAPI event mode and ability to playback files.  Never drivers for me were much more tolerant.  I hope you sort out the issue as 2.4.4 is as close to perfect a music player I have ever heard.
 
That said I seem to prefer the sound with the less compatible DDC drivers, I think drivers walk a fine line between buffer compatibility and optimal performance.

Please don't apologise! I think you've created something very special with JEP. As drez says above, it is close to perfect. Looking forward to your future releases of JEP.

And I've finally found the cause of the bug, ThinkSpace. It was the AudioServiceTSOP you offered on an earlier post. I deleted these six files from System32 and replaced them with the original W8 ones...No more problems. JEP 2.4.4 is obviously not compatible with that optimisation pack. 
 
Luckily this is not a drawback, because with this latest JEP version, I find that sound quality is much better with the original W8 audio files anyway.
 
To anyone wishing to improve their audio PC setup: make a donation to ThinkSpace and get the latest JEP.
